the truth is, many of us were never given a village to begin with. and when you're navigating single motherhood, overcoming violence, or holding the weight of the world — it can feel like there's nowhere to turn. in the words of legendary girl group, xscape, "who can i run to? to fill this empty space?"
community care is what happens when we choose ourselves and each other.
the Coven is a community care fund offering Black women and femmes direct access to resources that prioritize healing, stability, and self-actualization.
OUR GOAL within the COVEN
too often, Black women and femmes are forced to choose between their healing and their survival. we're overlooked, under-resourced, and offered care that is inadequate and disconnected from our lived experiences, our culture, and our actual needs.
the Coven is a space where collective care is not just a catchphrase, but a commitment. our goal is to create a safe and accessible support system that allows Black women and femmes to divest from harmful institutions and invest in themselves instead.
through rent assistance, resource navigation, and community connection, the Coven offers tailored support to help you meet the demands of the moment while building toward a more stable and supported future. this is more than a program; it's an ecosystem for healing, restoration, and growth — where your well-being is the priority, not an afterthought.

to reach our desired impact our strategy is centered around a holistic approach that addresses the unique needs of Black women and their various traumas.
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
✓ we provide direct rent assistance for 6-12 months at $2,500/month, giving you the breathing room and stability you need to focus on rebuilding without the constant threat of displacement hanging over your head. because housing is healthcare, and you deserve a safe place to land.
RESOURCE NAVIGATION
✓ we connect you to a network of community resources tailored to your specific needs— including therapy, job and educational opportunities, financial literacy programs, and other wellness services. we help you navigate systems that were never designed with you in mind, so you don't have to figure it out alone
WORKSHOPS & GROWTH
✓ we offer workshops on self-empowerment, boundary-setting, financial wellness, and advocacy—available to all Coven members. attend what resonates, skip what doesn't. these sessions are designed to equip you with tools and knowledge to assert your rights and build the future you deserve, on your own terms.

the Well therapy fund
automatic THERAPY SUPPORT
here's the thing: if you qualify for the Coven, you automatically qualify for therapy support through
we know that housing instability, financial stress, and navigating systems that weren't built for us takes a toll on our mental health. you shouldn't have to choose between keeping a roof over your head and taking care of your mind.
as a Coven member, you're automatically eligible for 3–6 months of subsidized therapy through the Well — no separate application needed. because healing isn't linear, and you deserve support that acknowledges the full weight of what you're carrying.
